Schneider Electric is set to launch a new service which analyses building performance to help building and facility managers to identify hidden savings and inefficiencies.
The French company’s Building Analytics software, due to be launched and demonstrated at The Energy Event in Birmingham 10-11 September, connects to every piece of mechanical and electrical equipment linked to a building management system and uses “advanced algorithms” to continuously monitor and analyse real-time data and historical trending on each device.
The service then analyses the data and provides customers with diagnostics and real time performance reports which highlight operational deficiencies as well as providing specific cost and energy saving opportunities.
According to Schneider Electric, the chief advantage of the Building Analytics system is that any performance issues become apparent early on, instead of when a problem occurs. Moreover, the system has been designed to run alongside more building management systems.
The system will be demonstrated alongside Schneider Electric’s existing building management systems, SmartStruxure and SmartStruxure Lite, the latter designed for small to medium-sized buildings, as well as its Struxure Ware Energy Operation software which allows energy managers to aggregate energy data from multiple sites.
“We are looking forward to demonstrating our different software and service solutions at The Energy Event, explaining how these fit into our wider EcoStruxure system architecture,” said Steve Harris, UK sales director at Schneider Electric.
